The London UX Bookclub will be convening for an evening of discussion to coincide with the UX London conference in May. We're going to be doing something a little different this month and having a larger, one off event where we'll be discussing a range of different books AND having some of the authors among us to participate in a Q&A session as well. 

How to prepare for bookclub this month: rather than everyone reading the same book, you're welcome to read one or more of the following books for discussion

• We had originally planned to discuss Kristina Halvorson's Content Strategy for the Web  - unfortunately Kristina won't be joining us at UX London this year, but given that lots of us have bought/read the book already it will be well worth coming together to discuss it. Karen McGrane who will be presenting a workshop on Content Strategy at UX London will be coming along to bookclub and is happy to participate in our Q&A session and field any of your content strategy related questions.
• Peter Morville has agreed to come along to bookclub and he's responsible (or partially responsible) for a number of great titles that you may have already read or want to read including: Search Patterns (Design for Disciple-Making), Ambient Findability: What We Find Changes Who We Become, and Information Architecture for the World Wide Web: Designing Large-Scale Web Sites
• Joshua Porter has also agreed to come along and will be happy to take questions related to his book Designing for the Social Web
• We're also really happy to have local author, Gavin Bell, who will be coming along to add to the Social discussions, and who is responsible for a recent O'Reilly publication, Building Social Web Applications  

Now, this invitation is going out *really* late (sorry!) so hopefully you've already got hold of and have been meaning to read (or have already read!) one of these books. If not, at least a few of them are pretty quick reading. As always, it should be a great discussion even if you haven't managed to make it to the end of the book.

Bookclub is going to be held at the Carbon Bar of the Cumberland Hotel, which is the venue where UX London will also be held. It will start at 7pm and wrap up at about 9pm.
